The word Somatic relates to the body. In holistic therapy Somatic Healing is any type of modality that is body focused in releasing trauma. It taps into an individuals capacity to heal by listening to their body. Body movement, guided meditations, energy healing, breathwork and hypnotherapy are all examples of ways to release trauma in the body somatically. Over the years I have found one particular guided mediation to always hit the mark when it comes to childhood traumas.
